Dear Folkies and Folk Club friends,

The cold and dark season is slowly setting in, so the theme of the November Folk Club is ‘Frost’.

We are pleased to welcome the duo Stereo Naked from New Zealand as featured artists.

Bassist Pierce Black and banjo player Julia Zech met in the Cologne bluegrass scene and have been developing their special ‘naked’ sound ever since.  Stereo Naked have kindly stepped in for Juhana Iivonen from Finland, who is ill. We can't wait to see them. As always, the evening will be rounded off with performances by several musicians from the region, including some ‘cherries on top’.Let yourself be surprised and enjoy the evening!

Here is a summary of the most important details:

Date: 7th November 2025 

Start: 19:00 hrs. until approximately 22:00 hrs The hall will be open from 5 p.m., offering the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely meal and drinks before the concert. Those who arrive early will also be able to sit in the front row. 

Venue: Dotty's Sports Bar and Restaurant (public clubhouse of the Bonn Tennis and Hockey Club – BTHV), Christian-Miesen-Straße, 53129 Bonn (Dottendorf) 

Admission is, as always, free.

 A little tip:

If you feel like hearing more folk music, you can do so before and after the Folk Club: 

- On Thursday, 6th November, from 8 p.m., John Harrison will be playing at Kater 26, Römerstraße 26, 53111 Bonn. The Kater also serves a fine Pilsner Urquell and delicious Czech wines. 

- On Saturday, 8 November, from 16:00 - 19:00 hrs., John Harrison, Shay McVeigh and Hans Ihnen will be playing at Café Bistro Melody, Werftstraße 5-7, 53117 Bonn-Graurheindorf 

Admission to both venues is free, but there will be a collection for the artists. 

Enclosed you will find posters for the evening at the Folk Club and above for the performances at the Kater and Melody.

Liebe Folk-Club-Freunde,

langsam zieht die kalte und dunkle Jahreszeit ein und so lautet das Motto des November-Folk Clubs „Frost“

Als Featured Artists können wir das Duo Stereo Naked aus Neuseeland begrüßen.

Bassist Pierce Black und Banjo-Spielerin Julia Zech begegneten einander in der Kölner Bluegrass-Szene und entwickelten seither ihren speziellen „nackt"-Sound.  Stereo Naked sind dankenswerterweise für den erkrankten Juhana Iivonen aus Finnland eingesprungen. Wir dürfen gespannt sein.

Der Abend wird wie immer abgerundet mit Auftritten mehrerer Musiker aus der Region, darunter auch wieder einige „Sahnestückchen“.

Bitte drückt nicht bei dieser Mail, die Ihr jetzt lest, nur auf „Antworten“. -    Am Samstag, den 08. November, ab 16 Uhr spielen John Harrison, Shay McVeigh und Hans Ihnen im Café Bistro Melody, Werftstraße 5 -7, 53117 Bonn-Graurheindorf

Der Eintritt in beiden Lokalen ist frei, es gibt eine Hutkollekte für die Künstler.
