Dear Folk Club friends,
This coming Friday, 3 July 2026, marks the 170th edition of
the Folk Club.
Our featured artist will be Delta Danny, alias Danny Schumacher,
from Darmstadt. Danny is dedicated to the blues in its original form, as it was
played in the Mississippi Delta at the start of the 20th century. The theme of
the evening, ‘Departure and Return’, is immortalised in many blues lyrics.
As always, the programme will be rounded off by regional
artists.
Come along and be surprised – enjoy the evening!
Here’s a summary of the key details:
Date: 3 July 2026
Music Start: 19:00 Hrs until approximately 22:00 Hrs.
The venue opens at 17:00 Hrs, offering
the chance to enjoy a leisurely meal and a drink before the concert. Those who
arrive early can also secure a seat in the front row.
Venue: Dotty’s Sports
Bar and Restaurant (Public clubhouse of the Bonn Tennis and Hockey Club – BTHV),
Christian-Miesen-Straße, 53129 Bonn (Dottendorf)

A note for anyone wishing to perform at the Folk Club and
secure a slot:

Important travel information:
- For anyone coming
from the right bank of the Rhine: Bonn’s Nordbrücke has been closed to all
traffic for an indefinite period since 3 June 2026!
- Travelling by
public transport: The Ollenhauerstraße tram stop will not be served by trams
from 1 to 15 July due to track works. A rail replacement bus service is
operating between the Heussallee and Hochkreuz stops. Details of the closure

Ausgabe des Folk Clubs bevor.
Als Featured Artist hat sich die Künstlerin Delta
Danny alias Danny Schumacher aus Darmstadt angesagt. Danny hat
sich dem Blues in seiner ursprünglichen Form verschrieben, wie er Anfang des
20. Jahrhunderts im Mississippi-Delta gespielt wurde. Das Thema des Abends
„Aufbruch und Rückkehr“ ist in vielen Texten des Blues verewigt.
Abgerundet wird das Programm wie immer durch regionale
Künstler.

Wichtige Hinweise zur Anreise:
- Für alle, die aus dem
Rechtsrheinischen kommen: Die Bonner Nordbrücke ist seit dem 03.06.2026 auf
unbestimmte Zeit für den gesamten Verkehr gesperrt!
- Anreise mit öffentlichen
Verkehrsmitteln: Die Stadtbahn-Haltestelle Ollenhauerstraße wird wegen
Gleisbauarbeiten vom 1. bis 15. Juli von den Straßenbahnen nicht angefahren. Es
gibt zwischen den Haltestellen Heussallee und Hochkreuz einen
Schienenersatzverkehr mit Bussen. Details zur Sperrung und zum Ersatzverkehr
