Dear Folk Club friends,
The 156th edition of the Folk Club is coming up next Friday,
04 April 2025.
This time, singer, violinist and guitarist Johannes
Epremian has signed up as a featured artist. Johannes is particularly
dedicated to the cultivation of Cajun music. Cajun is the name given to a
francophone population group that lives in the US state of Louisiana and has
created its own style of music. Johannes' interpretation of this musical style
is truly worth listening to.
The programme will be rounded off with other artists from
the local area. We are sure that it will be very entertaining again.
The theme of the evening is ‘Women's names’.
As always, let yourself be surprised and enjoy the evening!
Here is a summary of the most important dates:
Date: 04 April 2025
Start: 19:00 hrs. until probably 22:00 hrs. The hall
is open from 5.00 pm and offers the opportunity to enjoy a cosy meal and drink
before the concert. If you arrive early, you can also sit in the front row.
Venue: Dotty's Sports Bar and Restaurant (public
clubhouse of the Bonn Tennis and Hockey Club - BTHV),
Christian-Miesen-Straße, 53129 Bonn (Dottendorf)
Furthermore, as always, admission is free and there is not
even a hat collection.
The folk club has only one rule: no electric amplifiers,
so it is an evening with totally unplugged acoustic live music. There is, however,
no rule against you buying a drink for any of the participating musicians as a
sign of your appreciation if you have enjoyed their performance. It is also permissible to purchase CDs from the featured artist and as you will be well aware there are only nine shopping months left before Christmas and having a couple of potential future presents in your bottom drawer is a very good way of relieving pre-Chrismas stress later in the year.

Liebe Folk-Club-Freunde,
Am kommenden Freitag, den 04. April 2025 steht die 156.
Ausgabe des Folk Clubs bevor.
Diesmal hat sich als Featured Artist der Sänger, Geiger und
Gitarrist Johannes Epremian angemeldet. Johannes hat sich
besonders der Pflege der Cajun-Musik verschrieben. Als Cajun wird eine
frankophone Bevölkerungsgruppe bezeichnet, die im US-Bundesstaat Louisiana lebt
und die einen eigenen Musikstil hervorgebracht hat. Johannes‘ Interpretation
dieses Musikstils ist wahrhaft hörenswert.
Das Programm wird abgerundet mit weiteren Künstlern aus dem
näheren Umkreis. Wir sind sicher, dass es wieder sehr unterhaltsam sein wird.
Der Abend steht unter dem Thema „Frauennamen“.
