Folk Club Bonn on 03 June 2022 - Special evening for Steve Perry
Dear Folk Clubbers,
the Corona situation continues to ease and we can meet again in our usual surroundings on 03 June. However, we ask for your understanding that despite the officially permitted easing, out of consideration for those most at risk, we continue to require proof of immunisation (at least two vaccinations and/or recovery) and additionally (PLUS) a test (not older than 24 hours and conducted at a testing centre) for all participants (including musicians).
Our long-time comrade-in-arms Steve Perry has unfortunately been ill, but we know no fear, nor no danger, in fact we know "nothing". The June Folk Club is dedicated especially to him, as a reward for his decade of unflinching altruistic work with Bonn folk club. Steve will, if all goes well, be back after an absence of over two years. Depending on the situation, he will perform himself, with some of his well-known songs and anecdotes. If he doesn't feel fit enough to do so, other musicians will help perform them for him.
Steve's brother Bill has also travelled from all the way from western Canada to be with him and will present a song at Steve's request. In addition, a number of local musicians have confirmed their presence and participation.
We hope that many of you will do Steve an honour and come to the Folk Club.
Here are the most important dates:
Date: 03 June 2022
Start: 7pm until probably 9pm; there will be no break.
Venue: as always at Dotty's Sports Bar and Restaurant (Public Club House of the Bonn Tennis and Hockey Association - BTHV), Christian-Miesen-Straße, 53129 Bonn (Dottendorf).
Corona: As above, admission only for persons who prove that they are immunised and tested.
Registration: For organisational reasons we ask for registration to the mail address fcbonnlite AT gmail dot com (of course correctly spelled with @ and .). Please use this address only and do not reply to the normal FCB Gmail account, Such a mail unfortunately ends up in a rat tail attached to the original mail and runs the greatest risk of being overlooked. This is unfortunately an unpleasant feature of Googlemail.
If you use the special mail address for your registration, this will not happen.
Warning: the evening will exceptionally also be filmed and, as usual, as an audio file recorded in order to preserve a record.
And the most important thing: as always, admission is free.
NB Please note that the COVID-19 test station which was previously open in the evenings outside BTHV at earlier FCB events, now closes at lunchtime, so please ensure that you are tested elsewhere prior to arrival at the folk club. Many thanks in advance.
Breaking news: There is a test station in the parking lot of the Haribo factory shop in Bad Godesberg,
Friesdorfer Str. 125, 53175 Bonn, which is open until 17:45 hrs on Friday.

die Corona-Situation entspannt sich weiter und wir können uns am 03. Juni wieder in gewohnter Umgebung treffen. Wir bitten jedoch um Verständnis, dass wir trotz der behördlich genehmigten Entspannung aus Rücksicht auf die am stärksten Gefährdeten weiterhin einen Impfnachweis (mindestens zwei Impfungen bzw. Genesung) und zusätzlich (PLUS) einen Test (nicht älter als 24 Stunden und bei einer Teststelle durchgeführt) für alle Teilnehmer (auch Musiker) verlangen.
Unser langjähriger Mitstreiter Steve Perry ist leider in letzter Zeit erkrankt, aber wir kennen keine Angst, keine Gefahr, eigentlich kennen wir gar "nichts". Der Juni-Folk-Club ist speziell ihm gewidmet, als Belohnung für seine jahrzehntelange, selbstlose Arbeit mit dem Bonner Folk-Club.
. Steve wird, wenn alles gut geht, nach über zweijähriger Abwesenheit wieder dabei sein. Je nach Lage der Dinge wird er selbst mit einigen seiner bekannten Lieder und Anekdoten auftreten. Fühlt er sich dazu nicht fit genug, werden andere Musiker sie für ihn vortragen.
Auch Steves Bruder Bill ist extra aus dem Westen Kanadas angereist, um bei ihm zu sein und wird auf Steves Wunsch ein Lied vortragen. Darüber hinaus haben eine Reihe lokaler Musiker ihre Anwesenheit und Teilnahme zugesagt.
Wir hoffen, dass viele von Ihnen Steve die Ehre erweisen und in den Folk Club kommen werden.

Beginn: 19 Uhr bis voraussichtlich 21 Uhr; es wird keine Pause geben.
Veranstaltungsort: wie immer in Dotty's Sports Bar und Restaurant (Öffentliches Clubhaus des Bonner Tennis- und Hockeyverbandes - BTHV), Christian-Miesen-Straße, 53129 Bonn (Dottendorf).
Corona: Wie oben, Zutritt nur für Personen, die nachweisen, dass sie geimpft und getestet sind.
Anmeldung: Aus organisatorischen Gründen bitten wir um Anmeldung an die Mailadresse fcbonnlite AT gmail dot com (natürlich richtig geschrieben mit @ und .). Bitte verwenden Sie ausschliesslich diese Adresse und antworten Sie nicht auf das normale FCB-Gmail-Konto, ein solches Mail landet leider in einem Rattenschwanz, der an das ursprüngliche Mail angehängt wird und läuft die grösste Gefahr, übersehen zu werden. Dies ist leider eine unangenehme Eigenschaft von Googlemail.
Wenn Sie die spezielle Mailadresse für Ihre Anmeldung verwenden, wird dies nicht passieren.
Achtung: Der Abend wird ausnahmsweise auch gefilmt und, wie üblich, als Audiodatei aufgezeichnet, um eine Aufzeichnung zu erhalten.
Und das Wichtigste: Der Eintritt ist wie immer frei.
NB Bitte beachten Sie, dass die COVID-19-Teststation, die bei früheren FCB-Veranstaltungen abends vor der BTHV geöffnet war, nun mittags schließt. Achten Sie also bitte darauf, dass Sie sich vor Ihrer Ankunft im Folk Club anderweitig testen lassen. Vielen Dank im voraus.
