Folk Club Bonn #134 Friday 14.04.2023 with featured artist Matthew Robb. Theme "Dandelions" / "Löwenzahn"

 Dear Folkies,

the Folk Club next Friday, April 14, 2023 will have the theme "Dandelion", the plant that is now spreading its yellow flowers in gardens, roadsides and simply in every crack and opening. Among gardeners and nature lovers, it evokes quite different feelings and reactions. But this will certainly be addressed in songs and spoken contributions of the evening.

As explained several times, because of Good Friday, the Folk Club had to move away from its traditional place in the calendar and be postponed for a week.

Matthew Robb, a Yorkshireman from Cologne (https://matthewrobb.com/) has announced himself as a featured artist.

    He is already an old acquaintance at the Folk Club with several appearances. He has released several CDs in the meantime and will introduce us to new songs.
As always, the evening will be rounded off with performances by local artists.
It will certainly be another versatile, entertaining and entertaining evening.

Place: Dotty's Sports Bar and Restaurant (Public clubhouse of the Bonner Tennis- und Hockey-Verein - BTHV), Christian-Miesen-Straße, 53129 Bonn (Dottendorf).

Covid 19: There are still no restrictions, but it is of course up to everyone to wear a mask if they wish

                   to. We will provide plenty of ventilation in the hall throughout the evening.

Furthermore,  as always, admission is free.

Liebe Folk-Club-Freunde,

der Folk Club am kommenden Freitag, den 14. April 2023 steht unter dem Thema „Löwenzahn“, der Pflanze, die sich jetzt mit ihren gelben Blüten in Gärten, Wegrändern und schlichtweg in jeder Ritze breit macht. Bei Gärtnern und Naturliebhabern ruft sie recht unterschiedliche Gefühle und Reaktionen auf. Aber das wird sicherlich in Liedern und Wortbeiträgen des Abends thematisiert.

Wie mehrfach erläutert, musste der Folk Club wegen des Karfreitags von seinem angestammten Platz im Kalender wegrücken und um eine Woche verschoben werden.

Als Featured Artist hat sich Matthew Robb, ein Engländer aus Köln (https://matthewrobb.com/)  angekündigt.

Er ist mit mehreren Auftritten schon ein alter Bekannter im Folk Club. Er hat inzwischen mehrere CDs veröffentlicht und wird uns neue Lieder vorstellen.

Wie immer wird der Abend durch Auftritte lokaler Künstler abgerundet.

Es wird mit Sicherheit wieder ein vielseitiger, unterhaltsamer und kurzweiliger Abend werden. Lasst euch wie immer überraschen.

Covid 19: Es gibt weiterhin keine Restriktionen, aber es ist natürlich jedem anheimgestellt, eine Maske zu tragen. Wir werden den gesamten Abend über für reichlich Lüftung im Saal sorgen.

Franco bietet zudem einen Workshop für Gitarristen an einem noch zu bestimmenden Termin an. Wer Interesse hat, signalisiere das bitte durch eine kurze Mail an das Organisationsteam.

Für den Fall, dass Ihr eine Nachricht schicken wollt, bitte auf keinen Fall bei dieser Nachricht, die ihr jetzt lest, einfach auf „Antworten“ drücken. Eine solche Mail landet leider in einem Rattenschwanz an die Ursprungsmail angehängt und läuft größte Gefahr, übersehen zu werden. Das ist leider eine unangenehme Eigenschaft von Googlemail.
