Well, how very fortunate we all are at Bonn Folk Club. First we have a wonderful location, situated as it is equidistance between the wonderful historic city of Bonn to the north and the equally historical township of Bad Godesberg to the south, at Dotty's Bar on the first floor of the BTHV (Bonn Tennis und Hockey Verein).There is no lift (it is after all primarily a sports club) but we have alwas managed in the past to elevate wheelchairs and their occupants up to the first floor in order to participate in the folk club evenings (the FCB piano experienced a similar levitation!) We are blessed with a wonderful landlord and landlady there, Ronald & Sabine who make sure that all the thirsty and hungry musicians and audience are truly well supplied with a variety of drinks and vittels as a fitting relaxation reward after a hard week of coping with whatever crisis this beautiful city decides to throw at its citizens this particular month.
