I forget what the question was now, but I do remember that the correct answer was "Marlene Dietrich", who was famous for standing underneath a lantern in front of a barracks:
It reminded me of a song by the late but great Lancashire star ukelele player, George Formby, and he was possibly leaning on the same lamp post, just in case Marlene Dietrich happened by?
