Dear Folk Club friends,
Friday, 4th October 2024 will be the 150th edition of the Folk Club.
The theme of the evening is a little more detailed this time and is “Cozy evenings, the true north, the northern English counties and other physical and geopolitical divides”.
Johnny Campbell, a folk musician from Yorkshire in the north of England, has been announced as a featured artist. Johnny was already at the Folk Club in October last year and wowed us with his music. His latest album, from which he will present songs to us, is called “The True North”, and you can imagine how the motto came about.
As always, there will also be numerous performances by local artists.
Let yourself be surprised again and enjoy the evening!

Date: 4th October 2024
Start: 7.00 pm until probably 10.00 pm. The hall is open from 5 p.m. and offers the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely meal and drink before the concert. If you arrive early, you can also sit in the front row.
Venue: Dotty's Sports Bar and Restaurant (public clubhouse of the Bonn Tennis and Hockey Club - BTHV), Christian-Miesen-Straße, 53129 Bonn (Dottendorf)

Preview:- 8th November (exceptionally postponed by one week due to the All Saints' Day holiday on 1 st November).
Theme of the evening: “Once upon a time - without cell phones”.
The featured artist is Attila Vural from Switzerland, a truly virtuoso guitarist who has thrilled the Folk Club on several occasions.
And another little tip: If you would like to hear Johnny Campbell before the Folk Club, you can do so on Thursday, 3rd October from 8 pm at Kater 26, Römerstraße 26, 53111 Bonn. In addition, the “Kater” will be serving a well-maintained Pilsener Urquell and delicious Czech wines.

Liebe Folk-Club-Freunde,
am Freitag, den 04. Oktober 2024 gibt es die 150. Ausgabe des Folk Clubs.
Das Thema des Abends ist diesmal etwas ausführlicher und lautet „Gemütliche Abende, der wahre Norden, die nordenglischen Grafschaften und andere physische und geopolitische Trennungen“.
Als Featured Artists hat sich Johnny Campbell, ein Folkmusiker aus dem nordenglischen Yorkshire angekündigt. Johnny war bereits im Oktober vorigen Jahres im Folk Club und hat uns mit seiner Musik begeistert. Sein neuestes Album, aus dem er uns Lieder vorstellen wird, heißt „The True North“, und da könnt Ihr Euch ja denken, wie das Motto zustande kam.
Wie immer gibt es zusätzlich zahlreiche Auftritte lokaler Künstler.

Thema des Abends: „Es war einmal – ohne Handy“. Als Featured Artist hat sich Attila Vural aus der Schweiz angekündigt, ein wahrhaft virtuoser Gitarrist, der schon mehrmals den Folk Club begeistert hat.
Und noch ein kleiner Hinweis: Wer Johnny Campbell schon vor dem Folk Club hören möchte, der hat dazu Gelegenheit am Donnerstag, den 03. Oktober ab 20 Uhr im Lokal Kater 26, Römerstraße 26, 53111 Bonn. Zudem gibt es im „Kater“ ein gepflegtes Pilsener Urquell und leckere tschechische Weine.
